Common questions

How do I sign up?

Open Adorable → Welcome → Sign up. You'll need a name, email, and password. Phone verification is required before you can send messages to other users.

How does "Live on map" work?

Live on map is opt-in and short-lived. Each activation makes you visible to nearby users for 15 minutes; the pin auto-expires after that. You have to tap the switch again to stay visible longer — there's no automatic renewal. You can turn it off any time from your profile.

How do I hide my exact location?

Settings → Location accuracy → Approximate. Your live pin will be jittered by 200–700 metres on the client before broadcast, so nobody sees your exact spot. Approximate is the default; Precise is opt-in.

How do I report someone?

Tap the person's profile → menu (⋯ top-right) → Report user → pick a reason → Submit. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours.

How do I block someone?

Tap the person's profile → menu (⋯ top-right) → Block user → confirm. Once blocked, they can't message you and neither of you will see each other on the map. You can see and un-block anyone from Settings → Blocked Users.

How do I delete a conversation?

Open Inbox → swipe left on the conversation → confirm the delete dialog. This removes your copy; the other person can still see their side until they delete it too.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → scroll to the bottom → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, messages, presence, and check-ins from our servers. Some records (moderation reports involving your account, if any) are retained per our Privacy Policy.

I forgot my password.

Welcome screen → Sign in → Forgot password → enter your email. We'll send you a reset link.

Where is Adorable available?

Adorable is optimised for Lagos, Nigeria. It works elsewhere too, but discovery works best where there are other Adorable users nearby.

Safety concerns

If you feel unsafe or are being harassed inside the app, do all of these:

• Block the user immediately (profile menu → Block).
• Report the user with as much detail as possible (profile menu → Report). We review reports within 24 hours and can suspend or ban accounts.
• If the threat is credible or in-person, contact local authorities. In Nigeria, dial 112 for emergency services.
